Challenge:

Health Commentary is a blogsite hosted by health care advocate and leader Dr. Mike Magee that brings together diverse voices in health care for their opinions and ideas. Updates to Health Commentary are communicated to its subscribers via a free weekly email newsletter. Health Commentary wanted a new program to help grow its audience and increase the number of subscribers to the weekly newsletter.

JumpReach Solution:

The JumpReach Team employed its JumpReach Pro (Beta Version) viral marketing service to give current subscribers an easy way to share the weekly Health Commentary newsletter with their social network of contacts. Using JumpReach, current subscribers were able access their email address books and select which of their contacts they wanted to send a personalized invitation to. These invitations had the look and feel of the Health Commentary website and offered the recipient a chance to subscribe to the newsletter. Health Commentary ran a special promotion where if three people that you sent an invitation to subscribed then you would receive a free copy of Dr. Magee's book, "Positive Leadership."

Results:

Through the use of JumpReach Pro (Beta Version) Health Commentary was able to effectively and efficiently increase the number of subscribers to its newsletter. The analytics from the campaign showed that on average for every one current subscriber that used JumpReach to refer their contacts, nearly two new subscribers joined to receive the newsletter.
